  1. Might be my first Metal Build. With Gundams I can settle with the MG. But with FMP, the Damashiis and Revoltechs were kinda lacking. I'll watch this closely!

    1. There are also 2 new model kits of this thing coming out soon.
One from Aoshima andthe other from Kotobukiya.

    2. Oh, that's kind of a hard choice. I already have the Arbalest from Aoshima, and it's not very good. The Koto Laevatein might do better, but they are of different scales, 1/60 for Koto, and 1/72 for Aoshima...

    3. Coming from that the Aoshima Laevatein would match my Arbalest better

    1. Wow, what shockingly predictable douchey taste! I fucking love people who take the time to type "meh". You probably hear "meh" often from others, huh?

  3. Does this mean there's a new FMP series soon?

  4. At 1:100 wouldn't it be only around 9cm tall? That is a bit small. It would be better if it is 1:60,1:48 or 1:35

    1. This sounds great, but yeah, the Laevatein is 8.7m tall, so a 1/100 figure would be rather small...
Nevertheless, if it keeps the quality of this line and all the extras it will be my first Metal Build. The ARX-8 is just too sexy.

    2. Scale is unknown at the moment.

    3. Yeah, might be something inserted by GG. 1/100 of this might be about half the height of the MG Victory.

    4. Its good to know the scale is unknown. Like I said above, 1:60, 1:48, 1:35 or even 1:24 would be wonderful. At 1:60 it would be at the right scale to match with the Arx-7 from Alter :-)

At 1:100 would make this about the same size as the Robot Damashii version, which is already very good.

  5. Why don't they make Master Grade line for Full Metal Panic instead ? licensing issue or something ?
I'll get MG Arbalest in an instant.

  6. I wonder how this will compare to the Arx-7 from Alter, which is very good in my opinion. Ideally I like to see an Arx-8 from Alter.

It is good to see Metal Build line is not just about Gundam. The quality of the Metal Build line is a bit unstable in my opinion, lets hope it will keep getting better.

  7. Metal build quality can be considered very good IMO. I admit that I only have 1. But that 1 is enough for me to conclude that metal build series have a very good quality such as sturdy material, no weight issue, decent details & proper scale 1/100 hell yeah!). The only flaws in metal build IMO are the price and the size which is a little bit smaller than MG whereas both of them are 1/100 scale.

    Btw,
Actually I always hope bandai to release more SOC lines (still waiting for Shin Getter 1 & Mazinkaiser). But this Laevateinis okay, thought it didn't appear in the anime. Hope the price will be affordable.

    1. Talking about personal issues with Metal Build, I do find there are several instance where the paint application is not so good, part's gate didn't get trim off and cleaned properly. And you saw reports of other worse issues online.

I wonder, if these quality issues are something buyer could accept for a toy at this price range?

The availability is also another issue, however that is probably the result of a marketing decision.

The Metal Build figures might look 'thinner' compared to their Master Grade version (due to design update), but generally they should be of the same height.

  8. As much as I love Arbalest and Laevatin, imo this is dissappointing decision. I'm about to collect Metal Build because so far its all about Gundam then suddenly this. Dear god, is this gonna be a "Kanitake Ebikawa" line? -_-;

    1. Ebikawa makes good designs, I don't mind. He's way better than the lazy Seed/Destiny designs which get spammed much more.

  9. hehehehe HAHAHAHHAHA!!! ITS NOT STRIKE FREEDOM!!!
strikefreedom has HG, 1/100, 1/60, RG, MG, PG, ROBOT DAMASHII, ETC.. but for the first time ther is a toy line wer he is not and destiny could RULE!
